Andrew Horton is passionate about driving real-world sustainability through innovation, engineering, and collaboration. As the founder of Rigid Sustainable Solutions, Andrew brings decades of manufacturing experience and a hands-on leadership style to the challenge of creating more sustainable packaging for the food and beverage industry.
In 2024, Andrew launched Rigid Sustainable Solutions with the goal of advancing molded fiber and rigid paper technologies to reduce single-use plastics and support scalable, eco-friendly alternatives. He currently operates out of a development lab in Oxford, Ohio, working directly with partners and suppliers to research, prototype, and deliver viable, sustainable packaging solutions.
Andrew’s journey began on a dairy farm in central Pennsylvania, where he learned the value of hard work early. He went on to study Toolmaking Technology at Pennsylvania College of Technology and built a 20+ year career at Procter & Gamble, where he led R&D teams in developing packaging systems used by some of the world’s biggest brands.
Today, Andrew combines entrepreneurial spirit with deep technical expertise to help businesses transition to greener solutions—without compromising performance or scalability.
